The Olympic Festival brought children to sport. It was attended by the President and nearly 70,000 visitors
“True sustainability goes much further than individual projects. It is about looking closely at what you do as an organisation, the way you interact with society at large, and ensuring you have appropriate governance structures, policies and processes in place that will secure your long-term future for the benefit of your organisation, society, and the environment.”
About
The vision of the ASAP project is to move from words to action, from guidelines and recommendation to their strategic implementation, and, ultimately, from ad-hoc initiatives to integrated sustainability across the operation of National Olympic Committees (NOCs). In concrete terms, the mission of the project is, for the “mentee” NOCs, to create, adopt and start implementing integrated sustainability strategies in their organisations, and for the “mentor” NOCs to further improve their operations by sharing and learning from each other and from other experts in the field.
About ASAP forum
"ASAP Forum: Inspiring sustainability in sport" was the flagship event of the As Sustainable As Possible project. Its main purpose was to inspire and motivate sport organisations to approach sustainability strategically and as a great opportunity for a positive development and transformation.
The event took place on 12 October 2023 in Prague and its first part was live streamed.

CZECH OLYMPIC COMMITTEE (CZ NOC)
The Czech Olympic Committee was established on 18 May 1899, as one of the first NOCs in the world. Its mission is to develop and promote the Olympic values and ideals, and arrange the representation of the Czech Republic at Olympic Games. It represents the interests of Czech sport within the international Olympic Movement, as well as it undertakes publically beneficial activities in support of Czech sport and, in particular, its members. In these activities it works with all sport entities. CZ NOC is a “beginner” when it comes to sustainability, and therefore its aim for the ASAP project is to properly embark on the journey of making its operations, projects and initiatives more sustainable by creating, adopting and implementing an integrated sustainability strategy.

👉🏻 ASAP Roadmap
The ASAP Roadmap offers any sport organisation a process-based guidance and framework for the creation of a fully-fledged Sustainability Strategy. It will take you through the prerequisites, outline how to manage internal and external stakeholders, and provide you with a step-by-step “recipe book” on how to go about the development of your Strategy. The document, in its full and short version, is accompanied by a number of useful tools (ASAP Toolbox) to further facilitate the process.
